As part of the university’s efforts to enhance its community role and activate activities that contribute to community service, a workshop entitled “The Mechanism for Implementing Community Service Studies” was held, attended by a number of faculty members and those interested in community activities.
The workshop, held on March 8, 2026, aimed to clarify the practical steps for preparing and implementing community service studies, and the mechanism for selecting community problems that the university can contribute to addressing through scientific research and applied activities. The workshop also reviewed the approved models for preparing these studies and explained how to document and submit them in accordance with quality and academic accreditation requirements.
The workshop, presented by Ms. Istabraq Ali Hamid, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department, included a detailed explanation of the stages of implementing a community service study, starting with identifying the community problem, through data collection and analysis, and ending with developing recommendations and proposed solutions that contribute to serving the community and enhancing the university’s role in sustainable development.
At the end of the workshop, a discussion was opened with the attendees to answer their inquiries and exchange views on best practices in implementing community service studies to benefit institutions and the local community.
