As part of the University’s Sustainability Week 2026, the Technological Incubators Division organized an Environmental Story Competition for first-year students of the Biology Department, aimed at entrenching the values of environmental protection and conservation.

The competition’s committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ammar Ahmed Abdulbaqi, with the membership of Assistant Lecturers Rana Shukr Mohammed and Muhannad Ramadan Safar. The event commenced on Tuesday morning, May 5, 2026, in the presence of several university professors and faculty members.

Hosted by the Arabic Language Department at the College of Education for Human Sciences, the competition aims to encourage students to write short stories that celebrate the environment and advocate for its protection against pollution and climate change, while also emphasizing the preservation of natural resources.

This initiative is part of the university’s broader project to safeguard the environment from climate fluctuations. It seeks to instill a culture of environmental protection to foster future generations that embrace sustainability as a lifestyle, free from climatic pollutants.
