Al-Hamdaniya University Joins Bilateral Committee with Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to Combat Offensive Content against Sects and Religions

Al-Hamdaniya University has participated in a bilateral committee with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to combat content that is offensive to sects and religions. This initiative aims to deepen institutional partnerships focused on protecting religious rights from violations.

The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Nashat Mubarak Saliwa, received in his office Sheikh Khalil Al-Alyawi, the representative of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, and his accompanying delegation, as well as Mr. Haider Abu Hadma, representing the Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF). During the meeting, the parties discussed methods and mechanisms to counter content that violates the sanctity of various sects and religions.

The meeting concluded with the appointment of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Prof. Dr. Khalil Shukri Hayas, as the representative of Al-Hamdaniya University in the bilateral committee. The attendees emphasized the university’s commitment to its social and cultural responsibilities, highlighting the need to unify and intensify efforts to foster an environment where everyone enjoys protected freedoms and safeguarded rights.
