Al-Hamdaniya University Faculty Participate in Advisory Experts Committee Meeting to Develop Physical Education and Sports Science Curricula
On the sidelines of the Knowledge Economy Conference hosted by the University of Baghdad, several faculty members from Al-Hamdaniya University participated in the meeting of the Advisory Experts Committee. This committee is tasked with preparing and developing curricula for Physical Education and Sports Science specializations across Iraqi universities.
This participation follows their selection by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to join the specialized committee. This initiative is part of national efforts to modernize academic curricula in alignment with scientific advancements and global standards in the field of Physical Education and Sports Science. Such selection reflects the distinguished academic status of Al-Hamdaniya University’s faculty, as well as their academic competence and specialized expertise.
The committee of experts participating in the meeting included a group of the university’s faculty members:
- Prof. Emeritus Dr. Oukla Suleiman Al-Houri: Member of the History and Philosophy of Physical Education, Principles of Education, and Scouting Movement committee.
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Shihab Ahmed Hassan: Member of the Measurement, Testing, Sports Statistics, and Scientific Research committee.
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Adnan Hadi Moussa: Member of the Motor Learning, Growth and Development, Motor Education, and Special Needs Sports committee.
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahlam Dara Aziz: Member of the Teaching Methods, Curricula, Supervision, and Evaluation committee.
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Anad Jargis: Member of the Fencing, Shooting, Swimming, and Judo committee.
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Stefan Jajo Marzina: Member of the History and Philosophy of Physical Education, Principles of Education, and Scouting Movement committee.
This active participation underscores the scientific role of Al-Hamdaniya University in contributing to the development of academic programs at the national level, thereby enhancing the quality of higher education outcomes in Physical Education and Sports Science.
