Al-Hamdaniya University participated in person in the social peace conference titled “Your Life Matters,” held this Tuesday morning, April 14, 2026, at the Hamam al-Alil Sub-district Conference Hall, with the participation of several governmental and security institutions.
The university was represented by Dr. Raghad Adnan Ali, Head of the Government Media and Communication Department; Assistant Lecturer Yassin Nawfal Yassin; and Assistant Lecturer Inaam Hashem Sayed Mohammed, Head of the Dialogue and Social Peace Unit.
The conference was attended by numerous official bodies, including the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control, the Community Police, the Sunni Endowment, and a representative from the High Commission for Human Rights, in addition to members of the Nineveh Provincial Council and several security leaders from the Hamam al-Alil sub-district.
The conference addressed vital themes, most notably the causes of suicide and the phenomenon of drug abuse. It aimed to enhance social peace and consolidate the values of coexistence through concerted efforts and by taking effective measures to serve the community and curb negative social phenomena.
