Assistant Professor Dr. Adnan Hadi Mousa, Director of the Student Activities Department, and Assistant Lecturer Revan Saeed Ishua, Head of the Sports Division, representing their university, attended the technical meeting for the Iraqi Universities Women’s Volleyball Championship finals. The meeting was held at the Northern Technical University on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Directorate / Student Activities Department), along with participants from 7 universities in the women’s competition and 8 universities in the men’s competition.
The technical meeting included a discussion on the tournament’s mechanism; the women’s teams were divided into two groups competing in a single round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals in a cross-over system, leading up to the final match.
The first group included the universities of (Al-Hamdaniya, Al-Mustansiriya, and Babylon), while the second group consisted of (Baghdad, Northern Technical, Al-Qadisiyah, and Al-Ayen).
