Cultural Relations Division

Vision and Goals: Achieving academic interaction for faculty members by dispatching them to participate in conferences, research scholarships, joint supervision, and visiting professor programs.

Tasks:

• Concluding memorandums of understanding established between the University of Al-Hamdaniya or its colleges, technical institutes, and Arab and foreign universities, and completing all requirements to finalize these memorandums according to active regulations.

• Following up on the periodic activities of international unions and organizations with which the university interacts, tracking their action plans, participating in them, and exchanging scientific and technical experiences and skills.

• Following up on the implementation of directives to involve university affiliates in training courses across various specializations.

• Receiving incoming official letters from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research or other ministries, presenting them to the Vice President for Scientific Affairs for review and implementation directives regarding participation in conferences, symposiums, training courses, etc., and circulating them to the colleges and research centers.

• Executing the directives of the University President or the Vice President for Scientific Affairs to nominate affiliates to participate in workshops, attend meetings, scientific exhibitions, forums, etc., according to the specific instructions for each case, and issuing the necessary university dispatch orders.

• Following up on the requests of faculty members holding the title of Professor, Assistant Professor, or Lecturer who wish to conduct their scientific research outside Iraq (sabbatical leave requests) in cooperation with reputable scientific universities, institutions, and specialized professors.

• Receiving ministerial orders regarding the dispatch of faculty members outside Iraq to reputable scientific universities for training, to explore these institutions, their colleges, institutes, and teaching systems. Additionally, receiving invitations directed to professors and their applications to work as visiting professors at Arab and foreign universities for one or more academic semesters.

• Sending invitations to specialized professors in various scientific fields from Arab or foreign universities to visit the University of Al-Hamdaniya, its colleges, or centers, for the purpose of delivering scientific lectures, conducting scientific visits, or teaching for an academic semester.
