Chemical Safety and Security Division

Vision: To preserve the safety of individuals and property across all units of the University of Al-Hamdaniya by implementing comprehensive preventive precautions.

Mission: To provide and maintain high safety standards within all university buildings and facilities.

Goals:

Raising Awareness: Enhancing the awareness of faculty, staff, and students regarding chemical, biological, and radiological security within university laboratories. This is accomplished by organizing specialized workshops, holding local and international scientific conferences, and displaying instructional posters and signage in all laboratories.
Specialized Training: Providing training on the safe handling and transportation of hazardous materials, as well as inventory management and monitoring consumption to prevent leakage or misuse in illicit activities. Training also covers waste treatment and disposal methods within the university and first-aid emergency procedures.
Supervision and Compliance: Monitoring the commitment of various university units and administrations to established safety protocols and regulations.
Risk Assessment: Conducting self-assessments of security vulnerabilities to evaluate and mitigate the level of risk that the institution may face.
