University President Prof. Dr. Nashat Mubarak Saliwa discussed institutional security with the Director of the Nineveh Facilities Protection Directorate, Brigadier General Muhaysin Ahmed Sayel. This meeting comes within the framework of cooperation and shared responsibilities among state institutions to foster a stable educational environment.
During the reception at his office, Dr. Saliwa stated that the efforts exerted by the Facilities Protection Directorate and its personnel have contributed to providing a safe academic atmosphere, emphasizing the importance of concerted efforts and shared responsibility between institutions.
For his part, Brigadier General Sayel expressed his commitment to providing further support to the university to ensure its scientific and administrative stability. He stressed that institutional integration is an inevitable result of synergy between government departments working toward enhancing security services within communities.
Accompanying Brigadier General Sayel on his visit to the university on Sunday morning, March 15, 2026, were the Director of Al-Hamdaniya Police Station, Brigadier General Ayman Jassim Abed Nouh, and the Commander of the Al-Hamdaniya Sector, Lieutenant Colonel David Behnam Hanouka. While praising the university’s role in engaging with the community and government institutions, they affirmed their full cooperation in support of the educational process.
