Salaries and Records Division

The Salaries Division is one of the divisions under the Department of Administrative and Financial Affairs, directly linked to the Office of the University Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs at the University Presidency. This division is responsible for calculating the salaries and entitlements of the university’s faculty and staff across all its formations, including the University Presidency, colleges, and centers, as our university’s payroll is managed centrally.

The division prepares monthly payroll sheets, incorporating all adjustments and updates such as annual increments, job promotions, academic degree adjustments, and changes in academic titles. It also prepares monthly retirement deduction statements in accordance with applicable regulations and instructions.

Additionally, the division maintains subsidiary salary records, communicates with the Ministry of Finance for payroll funding, and coordinates with the Rafidain Bank to upload monthly salaries electronically under the payroll localization system (Taoteen). Furthermore, the division issues the “Last Salary Certificate” for faculty and staff members transferring from our university to other universities or ministries, and calculates the accumulated leave payouts due to retirees.
